4 to 1 Sand Mix is a preblended, factory-mixed mortar combining finely graded sand and Portland cement in a 4:1 ratio (sand to cement). It’s engineered for thick-bed (“mud bed”) mortar installations to level, flatten, and prepare substrates prior to the installation of tile, stone, or other floor finishes.
